A booking page vs a booking form
A form is quick to make. A booking page shows customers what you offer first, then collects what you need. Here is how they differ.
| A form | Booking page | |
|---|---|---|
| Shows your services and prices | You write them in the description | Every service with a price, a duration and options |
| Price for the customer | Not calculated | Calculated from their choices |
| Where answers go | A spreadsheet or an email | Your chat and a dashboard |
| Look on a phone | A long list of questions | Made for phones, in your colours |
| Follow-up | You copy details across | Confirm in the chat, mark as paid |
Features of other apps change over time. This comparison reflects how they work at the time of writing.
Why customers prefer a page
People want to see what you offer and what it costs before they ask. A page gives them that and then asks for their details.
Less typing for you
The booking arrives as one message with the service, the options, the day and the time, so you do not copy anything across.
- Nothing to copy from a spreadsheet
- A customer list built for you
- Totals that match the services chosen
Keep a form if you like
A form still works for very special requests. You can link both from your Instagram bio.
Questions
Yes. Add fields such as a note or an address to the booking form on your page.
It takes a little longer because you list your services, and then you never have to write them out again.
